According to the latest figures from the Central Statistics Office (CSO) young people are more likely to participate in the labour market in Northern Ireland than the Republic, in 2003.

The statistical profile of the labour market in the Republic and Northern Ireland show that 46% of 16-19-year-olds were likely to be economically active in the North, compared to 26% of 15-19-year- olds in the Republic.
