Consumer prices for December as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 0.4% in the month, compared to an increase of 0.7% in December of last year.

Consumer prices for December as measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI) increased by 0.4% in the month, compared to an increase of 0.7% in December of last year.

This resulted in the annual inflation dropping to 1.9%, down from 2.2% in November, representing the lowest rate since October 1999.
