Dollar weakens further against euro

The dollar dipped to another record low against the euro this morning, rising to $1.2898 on European markets in early trading.

The dollar's decline against major currencies has been largely driven by worries over the US current account deficit and expectations that US interest rates will remain low for the foreseeable future.
