Profits on track for Grafton, great expecations for 2004

Builders Merchants Grafton Group plc today issued a trading statement indicating that earnings for 2003 will be in line with forecasts after a year of strong growth.

It said that it completed 10 acquisitions for the period, adding 50 branches to the Group's network for a total in excess of €200m.
