November US producer price index falls 0.3%

US wholesale prices fell 0.3% in November from October, the first decline in six months and below forecasts for a 0.1% gain.

The Labor Department reported today that the core producer price index for finished goods, which excludes food and energy prices, fell 0.1%, the first decline since June.
