Consumers warned to be careful with cards

Christmas shoppers are being warned to take every precaution to protect themselves from credit card fraudsters and ATM thieves in the coming weeks.

The Irish Payment Services Organisation have launched a SafeCard campaign for the Christmas and New Year period, when it’s estimated that in excess of €3billion will be spent on retail in the Dublin area and €9billion nationwide.
