Fed leaves interest rates unchanged

The United States Federal Reserves left interest rates unchanged last night and implied rates would stay low for a long time.

The sentiment gave stocks a boost with the Nasdaq recording its biggest one-day percentage gain for over two months while the Dow Jones posted its largest one-day rise in seven weeks.
