HONG KONG: the Hang Seng index closed up 148.9 at 10909.0.

SINGAPORE: the Straits Times index closed unchanged at 1593.6.

SYDNEY: the All Ordinaries index closed up 6.0 at 3202.9.

Meanwhile, the FTSE-100 index at 10am was up 7.7 at 4205.7.
