The Central Statistics Office has today released its figures on external trade for May 2003, and a first estimate for June.

The Central Statistics Office has today released its figures on external trade for May 2003, and a first estimate for June.

They show that imports decreased from €3,922m to €3,650m or 7%, indicating its lowest value since June 1999. Exports were also down from €6,971m to €6,655m, or 5%, to give a trade surplus of €3,005m.
