Consultation process begins in carbon tax plan

Minister for Finance Charlie McCreevy has begun the consultation process on the proposal for the introduction of a carbon energy tax.

The process invites submissions from interested individuals and organisations on any aspect of a general carbon energy tax. A consultation paper has been prepared to facilitate consideration of the issue.
