BP due to report earnings on Tuesday

Continued strength in oil and gas prices should ensure that energy group BP reports further robust earnings growth in second quarter results on Tuesday.

With the effect of the Iraq war keeping the price of crude above average, BP is forecast to drive net income 30% higher to $2.94bn (€4.13bn) while the company should also benefit from buoyant gas prices in North America.
