Aer Arann to increase Cork-Dublin route

Aer Arann is to increase frequency on its Cork-Dublin route from October 27.

The move to increase its service from seven to nine flights per day comes after Aer Lingus announced that it is to discontinue its loss-making Dublin-Cork service from the end of October.

Commenting on the announcement, Jennifer Mooney, Commercial Manager, Aer Arann said: "We currently enjoy 70% market share on the Cork-Dublin route and are well-placed to provide the increased service in October."

The regional airline has projected that it will carry over 280,000 passengers on its Cork routes during 2003.

As well as flying to Dublin, it also flies direct from Cork to Edinburgh, Birmingham, Bristol and Southampton.
