Bank of Ireland has announced a 200% increase in the amount of money borrowed by homeowners seeking to "trade up" in the past five years.

Bank of Ireland has announced a 200% increase in the amount of money borrowed by homeowners seeking to "trade up" in the past five years.

The bank said €400m was borrowed by such homeowners in the year to the end of June 2003.
