Glanbia rejects privatisation

Glanbia PLC said in a statement to the London Stock Exchange that its Co-operative Society Ltd board rejected suggestions made by some fresh milk producers and representatives of its liquid milk suppliers that they should consider taking the company private.

The Co-op board said it has "fully considered all aspects of this suggestion and has concluded that this action would not be in the best interests of its members".
