ESRI issues pessimistic economic comment

The Economic and Social Research Institute has predicted that 15,000 more people will be out of work by the end of this year.

In its latest economic commentary, the ESRI also predicted that Ireland's public finances would deteriorate further in the remainder of 2003, while inflation would fall.
