EC gender insurance plan dismissed'

Claims that the European Commission would force insurance companies to abandon gender as a yardstick for setting premiums were dismissed as “absurd“.

The idea is said to be part of a new Directive under discussion in Brussels, designed to impose tougher sex discrimination laws on EU governments.
