Marconi to cut jobs as revenue continues slide

Marconi, which has recently undergone a major financial restructuring, has announced that its employee numbers are to fall further.

The company said that it had cut its losses in the year to 31 March, 2003 to £1.3bn (€1.8BN) from £5.9bn (€8.2bn) in the previous year.
