Dairy exports worth €1bn to economy

Dairy exports were worth more than €1bn to the Irish economy last year, according to the Irish Dairy Board.

The board said it made a profit of almost €37m, with more than half its revenue generated by its subsidiaries.

Managing director Noel Cawley said dairy exports are crucial to the Irish economy.
