ITV companies get boost for merger hopes

British competition watchdogs today handed a boost to ITV companies Granada and Carlton in their bid to get a £2.8bn (€3.9bn) merger approved.

In an update to an earlier 26-point letter, the Competition Commission has outlined two further remedies which the ITV duo could consider to help propel their tie-up through the regulatory process.
