Investors expect stock market to rise

Investors' confidence is returning to the stock market, with people expecting the FTSE 100 Index to rise during the next 12 months, new research has claimed.

According to Halifax Share Dealing, consumers remain cautious after three years of stock market falls, but on average expect the Footsie to rise from a level of 3,900 to 4,020.
