Soaring oil price leads to record BP profits
Soaring oil prices pushed profits at energy giant BP to a record £2.34bn (€3.39bn) in the first three months of the year, it emerged today.
The figure – equivalent to £26m a day (€37.69m) or £300 a second (€434) – more than doubles the London-based company’s performance in the same period of 2002.
