BA and American Airlines reach 'codeshare' deal

British Airways today announced a “codesharing” agreement with American Airlines which will give its passengers access to a wider range of destinations across the Atlantic.

The move, which has received tentative approval from the US Department of Transportation, will mean passengers can take a BA flight beyond the gateway cities in the US.
