FTSE slow after Wall Street losses

The FTSE 100 Index got off to an uncertain start today after seeing Wall Street markets extend recent losses last night.

The blue-chip index was lower 14 points lower at 3438.7 in the first hour after initially rising 15 points in the first 20 minutes of the session.
