Markets continue to suffer as war looms

The Dow Jones fell 101.61, or 1.3%, to close at 7,673.99. The loss more than erased blue chips' 70-point gain from Wednesday. It was the lowest level for the Dow since October 10, when it closed at 7,533.95.

The broader market also finished lower. The Nasdaq composite index fell 11.48, or 0.9%, to 1,302.92. The Standard & Poor's 500 index dropped 7.75, or 0.9%, to 822.10.
