British internet bank Egg has reported a drop in losses in 2002. Losses were down to £16.6m (€24.2m) from £ 87.8m (€128m) in 2001.

British internet bank Egg has reported a drop in losses in 2002. Losses were down to £16.6m (€24.2m) from £ 87.8m (€128m) in 2001.

The bank signed up 610,000 new customers in the UK in 2002 and this year plans to sign another 500,000.
