Supermarket group Tesco today announced it was increasing contributions to its final salary pension scheme in the UK after a review showed it had a £159m (€236m) deficit.

Supermarket group Tesco today announced it was increasing contributions to its final salary pension scheme in the UK after a review showed it had a £159m (€236m) deficit.

The group said it would make up the deficit over 10 years, beginning with an extra contribution of £15m (€22m) to £20m (€29m) in the next financial year.
