Govt to lobby for EU cybercrime agency

The Government is to lobby for the new European cybercrime agency to be based in Ireland, possibly in the Digital Hub.

The agency was proposed last week by the European Commission and is to be called the European Network and Information Security Agency.

It could only be established here if proved to be cost effective and if all the required communications systems were in place.
