BMW recalls 164,000 cars

BMW is recalling 164,000 X5 luxury 4X4 vehicles after discovering a potential brake defect. The recall will cost more than €4.5m.

The German company said vibrations can loosen the brake hose out of its mounting in the front wheel suspension, causing it to grate against suspension parts or the inside of the wheel.
