The London market’s fragile confidence will be further tested next week when heavyweight stocks AstraZeneca and Rio Tinto and a clutch of tech and telecom companies report results.
Anglo-Australian mining giant Rio Tinto is forecast to report a slip in full-year pre-tax profits from $2.62bn (€2.4bn) to $2.51bn (€2.3bn) when it reports on Thursday.
