The EU's proposed reform of the Common Agriculture Policy would have a greater impact in Ireland than in other EU member states, according to a study commissioned by the Department of Agriculture.

The research found that the proposed reforms would lead to a reduction in beef and sheep production, but following an initial decline, prices would recover to a higher level than would otherwise be the case.
