Aer Lingus management is due to meet the chairman of the Oireachtas transport committee today to explain the airline's decision to stop taking unaccompanied children on its planes.

Aer Lingus has announced that, from next month, children under the age of 12 will have to be accompanied by an adult on all Aer Lingus flights.
