Confidence among consumers in the Ireland fell again last month after an earlier consistent slide throughout 2002 had been halted in November.

Figures produced tonight by the IIB Bank and the independently-operated Economic and Social Research Institute put Ireland’s consumer sentiment index in December at a level of 63.8 – 2.7 below the previous month’s figure.
