US President George Bush was today expected to unveil a €660bn economic stimulus package that is far bolder than proposals being considered only a week ago.
The White House hopes the move will answer Democratic criticism that Bush has done too little to boost the economy and conservatives’ concern that his new economic team will be overly cautious.
