Ryanair passenger numbers soar

The number of passengers carried by low-fare airline Ryanair in 2002 soared compared with the 2001 total, it was announced today.

The budget carrier hosted nearly 14.5 million passengers last year - against a figure of just under 9.4 million in 2001.
