A new report shows that Irish people are paying at least €19bn each year for insurance. The figure covers all types of insurance, from motor insurance to life cover.

According to the 2001 Annual Insurance Report, out today, almost €19bn was paid in premiums for that year, with almost 75% of that generated by life companies.
