New framework for broadcasting announced

Dermot Ahern TD, Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources, has announced a new framework for public service broadcasting with fundamental reform of policy and regulation.

The Minister said the Government has approved major legislative changes in the broadcasting sector, along with the establishment of a new Content Regulator for both public and private broadcasters.
