Tokyo shares close morning weaker

Share prices closed this morning weaker amid caution ahead of special quotation for the December futures and options contracts as well as the release of the "Tankan" survey on business sentiment, both due tomorrow, dealers said.

The Nikkei 225 index closed the morning down 14.51 points at 8,713.15, off a low of 8,682.98 and a high of 8,754.81.
