The European Parliament has adopted the financial conglomerates directive which has already been approved by EU member states and it may now pass into law, said the European Commission.

The European Parliament has adopted the financial conglomerates directive which has already been approved by EU member states and it may now pass into law, said the European Commission.

The directive prevents multiple gearing of capital and downstreaming and ensures that risk is concentrated at the group level.
