EC revises growth figures for Ireland

The European Commission has revised its growth forecast for Ireland, predicting that the economy will grow by just 3.3% this year.

In its autumn forecasts, the EC also predicted that Ireland's economic performance would improve in 2004, with growth expected to rise above 5%.
