United profits up 48%
Manchester United today unveiled a 48% increase in pre-tax profits after benefiting from the sale of a number of players.
The figure for the year to July 31 of £32.3m was further helped by a 13% increase in turnover at £146.1m.
However, the club’s wage bill also showed a sharp rise, spiralling by 40% to £70m and now amounts to almost 50% of the club’s turnover.
