Aer Arann scoops gong at awards

Padraig O'Céidigh, MD of Aer Arann, was named as Entrepreneur of the Year at the annual Ernst & Young Awards.

He won the award for developing the company from running services to the Aran Islands into a carrier which operates widely, and now has services across Ireland and in the UK.

The title of Emerging Entrepreneur of the Award was won by Andrew Jones of Clearstream Technologies, a Wexford provider of medical devices.

Brian McCarthy of Fexco won the International Services Award.
