The European Commission has extended the period before which it needs to make a ruling on the proposed creation of new IT services company by the two major banks, AIB and Bank of Ireland.

The European Commission has extended the period before which it needs to make a ruling on the proposed creation of new IT services company by the two major banks, AIB and Bank of Ireland.

Both banks announced in June that they intended to create a new independent IT Services arm on a 50/50 basis to serve the IT requirements of both banks and other companies both at home and abroad.
