Aer Lingus has announced an operating loss of more than €50m for last year, €27m less than predicted in the company’s post-September 11 survival plan.

Aer Lingus has announced an operating loss of more than €50m for last year, €27m less than predicted in the company’s post-September 11 survival plan.

The company also revealed net exceptional losses of €104m today, mainly due to redundancy payments agreed under the survival plan, the impact of the attacks on the US and the foot-and-mouth crisis.
