IBOA concern at banks' plans

The Irish Bank Officials Association has expressed concern at plans by Allied Irish Banks and the Bank of Ireland to merge their information technology services.

Both banks have insisted that the move was made for purely commercial reasons, but staff fear it could lead to a merger and job losses.
