People waking up to need to save

People are waking up to the need to plan for the future, and increasing numbers are prepared to lock their cash away for the long-term, research claimed today.

Just 12% of people surveyed in Britain said having to put money away for a long time put them off investing, compared to 21% when the same survey was carried out last year, according to Alliance & Leicester.
