Legal costs to blame for rising car insurance - report

A three-year investigation into the insurance industry is blaming the legal Industry for driving up the cost of car insurance in this country.

The report by the motor insurance advisory board will recommend sweeping changes to the way claims are dealt with and paid out. It is due to be presented to the Tanaiste, Mary Harney, next week.
