Qantas dispute averted

An agreement between unions and management at Australian flag-carrier Qantas over a long-running pay dispute has averted the threat of flight disruption.

Qantas management and officials from two unions representing about 2,500 maintenance workers have agreed to a 12-month wage freeze until June.
