Blair backs euro

British Prime Minister Tony Blair has strongly endorsed the euro and warned the British people they would be "very foolish" to run away from the single currency now that it is a reality.

"I think the idea that we can run away from it or hide our head in the sand and pretend it doesn't exist would be very foolish," said Mr. Blair, speaking in Bangladesh at the start of a tour of South Asia.
