IDA firms shed more jobs than they created in 2001

The IDA’s annual review has revealed that, for the first time in 15 years, companies supported by the body shed more jobs than they created in 2001.

IDA-backed firms created 13,100 jobs in the last 12 months, but laid off 17,000 workers.
