The European Central Bank (ECB) has predicted that the euro-zone economy will recover next year.

The European Central Bank (ECB) has predicted that the euro-zone economy will recover next year.

In its October monthly bulletin the ECB said that the economic fundamentals for the 12 member countries remained "positive" and that there is "a good base for recovery in the course of the next year".

The upbeat report was in contrast to recent economic forecasts issued by the German finance department.
